Servo takeout Gearbox is used on the Emhart 6 ¼ IS/AIS/NIS machines. Its Purpose is to control the lift of the newly formed bottles from the mould to the dead plate.
The gearbox uses a worm and wheel to achieve this action and is powered by an electric servo motor which is mounted directly on top of the gear box.
This gearbox also transfers air to the takeout tongs which are used to pick up the bottles.
