About the Cross Conveyor

The purpose of the Cross Conveyor in the production line is to bring the bottles from the transfer along the front of the stacker. It presents them to push into the Annealing Oven.

The main purpose of the Cross Conveyor is to close the gap up between the bottles. This is done by speeding up and slowing down the conveyor, independently of the machine.

GDO 1000 Cross Conveyor is a first in quick change technology. The structure has permanent casters installed which when lowered enables the conveyor to be manually handled. This enables the complete conveyor to be removed from it’s site and reinstalled within 1 hour, for example to enable change of the lehr belt. It also features quick exchangeable sub-assemblies without the splitting of the belt to enable engineers to achieve a 1 hour job change.
Manufactured so the main conveyor rolls in and out of position and can split in half to aid installation in to tight positions. The new design with a floating upper beam and solid low sitting structure minimises the risk of warping in front of the lehr due to heat transfer.
Requires no lubrication as it uses dry carbon graphite bearings.
Quick change ware plates can be replaced over and over again without having to split the belt
Allows the belt to back bend to keep the belt free of debris to minimise bottle damage.
