Feeders

About the Feeder

The Feeder is used to time and actuate the push of the molten glass through the spout bowl orifice, defining the number of gobs and their shape. It controls and measures the glass through the shear mechanism to give the correct weight of gob. The feeder uses a differential gear box to achieve this by being able to adjust the push and cut against each other.

The feeder is situated above the IS machine on the end of the furnace forehearth.

We offer the 81 Standard 5" Linkage and the 503 High Speed Feeder with 7" Linkage.
