About the Overhauling Process

D A Oldfield Ltd. has been overhauling glass production equipment for over 30 years.This service has benefitted our customers in a variety of ways.

This process begins using our clean well-equipped workshops and experienced skilled fitters we bring equipment away from the glassworks and back to our fitting shop in Elvington, York.

Fully Strip down equipment
Clean Equipment
Measure Equipment - To establish what damages or wear has occured.
Provide you a quote, including any upgrades we can offer.
Rebuild equipment
Test equipment and provide a guarantee of workmanship.
Delivery arranged back to the Glassworks.

How Overhauling Can Help and What is Included

This service can help the customer in a number of ways:

Eases pressure on the customers own fitting staff.
Brings equipment back to the customers original new standard.
Offers upgrades on material and improvements in design of the product to improve production.

Our regular overhaul equipment includes:

Feeders - 81 and 501 Feeders, Shear mechanism, revolving tube mechanisms, tube height adjuster
Transfers - DAO, Sheppee, O-I, Pennekamp, Revimac, Heye
Gearboxes - Feeder, 10:1, 20:1, IS machine servo takeout, Transfer moving and fixed, Highfield, Rossi, JPM, etc.
